Ruth Abela

Having been introduced to yoga through a friend, London-based designer Ruth Abela® quickly started using her own equipment such as mat, blocks, belt, etc. When looking for a bag to carry all of the items, Ruth found that there was no bag that specifically catered for all of the items to be placed strategically within in an organized manner. This became the nucleus for her creation.
Ruth set out to create yoga bags that would be practical, stylish, and organic in construction, while fluid in shape. The overall concept had to function and fit in with any other activity in the day. This harmony borrowed from the principle of yoga, and yet transcended it.
As you open the bag, the architectural perspective begins; the mat freely flows out of its compartment while keeping intact key but important items that clutter our daily lives. This allows the yogi/yogini to start their practice knowing that at the end of their journey lies a pleasurable reintegration process that merges practicality with harmony.
These yoga bags are produced by an IFAT member (The International Fair Trade Association).
